Editor's Letter
IS THAT A BULGE IN YOUR BROADBAND?
This is the last issue of AXM in print form. And that means it’s my last editor’s letter. Some of you may have read this part before, but most of you probably cruelly skim over me and my important words to get to the readers in pants talking about power bottoms section. And who can blame you? Editors are best off padlocked to pine-effect desks making magazines, not heard. This bit at the front is just one of the many slightly pointless, archaic traditions of the print magazine, that pad out the bits that really matter. AXM is going digital because the future isn’t just padding-free, it’s interactive, it mashes up media and it supports videos of you in your pants talking about power bottoms.
AXM is going digital at www. -mag.com.We’ll be rocking your world with regular digital super-features that mix movies, photography and hardwired writing. We’ll take the piss a lot too. From 24 November we’re also launching a life-enhancing new section on the website called out-space. No prizes for guessing what that is. Yes, it’s
a social network for fresh-thinking thrill-seekers and, we hope, the launch-pad for you to get your stories, ideas and underwear into AXM’s digital content.
And we’re on your phone at www. .mobi. If you’re just one of the millions of British homosexuals with a mobile phone, the chances are it’s got the power to get you on t’internet and .mobi. Use it on the move to update your out-space profile, download AXM approved new music and find daily news, gossip and exclusives.
Find out more about AXM digital on p38. But, even though I hate nostalgia because it makes you smell, I suppose I should use this last ever paragraph of magazine to prattle on about all the celebrities I’ve met, and the time I went jet-skiing with RuPaul. Madon– oh dear, that’s it, we’ve got to send this issue to print. Not before I say a massive, respect-packed thanks to all the people who’ve worked with AXM over the last decade though. And even bigger props to all you readers. See you online. x
